Fly House Keeping

We find ourselves looking after our families and friends by staying home for at least another two weeks before the green light goes ahead to get out and have a cast. We of course would like to thank all the people supporting us that find themselves on front line and a big thank you from us all.

Now would be a good time for you to take the opportunity to look through your fly boxes and fill any empty spots with a few of your old favorites or maybe something new that catches your eye.

As a lot of you know looking after your gear is paramount to landing that fish of a life time, putting flies back in your box wet is not the best plan or leaving your leader material wet and lying in the sun or in a damp jacket or bag. Always leave the fly boxes  open after a trip and make sure they are properly dried before putting them away until the next outing.

So if you find time to sort through your boxes do not throw old but good patterns out as there are always anglers taking up our great sport and looking for flies to start off with.

Here is hoping we will soon be out fishing our favorite water.
